Alternative Solutions:

We offer sustainable and luxurious alternatives to exotic hardwoods that are removed from endangered tropical biospheres, and proudly refuse to install Amazonian and other conflict timber under any circumstance.

Reduce—Re-use—Recycle:

We sort and deliver all possible jobsite wastes to private recycling facilities that divert materials from a final resting place in local landfills towards new uses in the production cycle. Layout pre-planning and judicious cutting techniques reduce the amount of extra material needed from industry standard 10% overage down to an average of only 3% per job. This serves the double purpose of lowering project budgets by reducing the amount of flooring that clients need to purchase, while conserving trees in the forest at the same time.

At Quality Wood Flooring corporate morality takes the forefront. A portion of all revenues are directed towards local environmental and conservation initiatives, including the protection of Vancouver Island’s final remaining Ancient Forests Ecosystems, and financial and volunteer contributions to the anti-pipeline/oil-tanker movement that seeks to protect the remaining 73 surviving members of the once robust resident Orca Whale population.
